New Land: Constructed Territory is presented as a handmade book (33.5 × 22.3 centimetres) featuring nine major bays along China’s coastline. It includes ten fold-out pages, each at the beginning of a chapter. One fold-out page has a pocket containing a removable map of China’s coastline with marked bay locations. The comparisons of satellite imagery of the nine bays from 2000 and 2025 are placed within the fold-out pages, and alongside the text for each bay, enabling a more intuitive visualisation of coastline transformations.
